I have not had anytime to update, it's been crazy here. It would take me forever to type it all out, but the bulk of it is: I have holes in my walls everywhere, from the frontroom, to my sisters bathroom, and today a nice one in my bedroom which I just painted. I had about 20 dirty men using my bathroom yesterday and it was DIGUSTING at the end of the day. I complained to the co-owner and he is on it big time. He's also going to make sure all damage is fixed. He likes my sister so I'm too worried things won't get fixed. :) That's a whole 'nother story for another day.

I'll take more pics soon. The siding is going up and its looking nice. They got a new furnace and ac unit up there and the plumbing is almost done. It's been messy, hectic, and stressful, but they are moving fast. However, I think it will take a few days to fix all the damage lol. I can not wait until it's all done. My ankles are so swollen from all the chaos, I can't wait to just lay down and relax. Of course with my luck, I'll get to that point and go right into labor LOL But life has worse problems, right?

I LOVED Tuesday's Mindfreak! That made my day big time. Anything with kids always cheers me up and Criss was just fantastic! He's got a good gift with kids, I like that a lot!

I hope everyone is well and I'm going to catch up with everyone's blogs as soon as I can. I need to tend to things here first, but I do miss you all!

    Have a wonderful day! Sandy

Eh. That's about all I can say. I didn't get my day of peace yesterday because my hubby had his pal come over and they re-wired all the cable and satellite for six hours. More hammering and sawing. I was about to throw pots at them.

I got about an hour of peace this morning though and it was GREAT! The only crew that came to the house today was the plumbers and the didn't come till like 9:00. I had forgotten what it was to hear nothing!

Of course these guys kinda made a mess sawing through my walls to get through the pipes and one guy used the bathroom again without saying anything. But pipes are something i must have so I'll have to deal with it. Ugh.

The new dumpster came finally but no one dumped out our garabage cans that they filled with roofing and wood. rolleyes Little things I asked aren't done yet. I'm trying to be patient. They have come a long way so lets just hope this pace continues. I think they come to do the siding tomorrow.

Here's some pics as of Friday. Really the only thing after these pics is plumbing. Nothing worth taking pics over. If you know what plastic PVC is, just picture that in the pictures LOL

Have a great night loyals! Love Sandy from ground zero

On day one, they just ripped off the roof. Nothing much to take pics of. This is what they accomplished on the second day, just two guys. All that was, was a garage. You can still slightly see the front of it as that part didn't get ripped off.

Here are pics from the end of day three. Again, just those two guys:

(picture a roof over the tarp lol)

Here are the pics from the inside which they did last Friday. That's when they busted into my wall and put stairs up (and cut the phone wires, screwed up electric, made a mess on my carpet lol)

OMG this week has been a nightmare! Today, no one is here working so I am taking advantage of it big time. I need to re-group my thoughts, clean up a bit, and get myself organized. It's been one headache after another BUT the work is coming along. Lets see where to begin.....

Our roof is done, they did it in a day. Yes, it was the same group of Mexican gentleman too LOL

The stairway is very nice, upstairs looking great. Plumber even started.

They are saying we need a seperate heating / ac unit for upstairs. Which I agree with BUT, money is literally scarce and we don't have a clue what prices are. The owner guy supposedly is giving a deal on this, but we are doing everything we can to confirm that for our own sanity. Getting prices for these things is like finding a needle in a haystack. They have to know I think tomorrow, because the hvac dude is coming. So today that's the only thing to do with construction I'm working on. Oy Vei!

They never covered my carpet. Hence , all kinds of crap is being dragged all over. They did clean it up somewhat, but still, there's stuff all on it. I vac'd last night and its' better now but that ticked me off as I was told they would lay a tarp down.

I have a sheet hanging up, as I mentioned before, to block off the back rooms so I can have a little privacy. Friday, I'm laying in my bed taking a little rest and one of the guys came right to the door to ask me something! I'm like you can't just yell for me, it's only about ten feet away! So from now on, I'm locking my door! There's just people coming in and out constantly. For all I know some crazy person off the street could walk right in and I'd not have a clue!

Next, the HUGE dumpster filled up when they did the roofing and what do they do? Use OUR garbage cans! Now ALL of our cans our filled and we have no where to throw our garbage!!!

Then, they cut my phone lines! Yes CUT them! Rather than letting some wires just hang down, they cut them. An electrician came on Sat. but he couldn't figure out. So I had to call COmcast and have them come out. They were asking why they cut the lines as well. Thankfully Comcast fixed it. IF I get a bill for that, I'm handing it right over to the company. That was complete BS.

My sister finally got her power back on yesterday but one of our hall lights is still out. It's not the end of the world though , they can fix it later.

The plumber guys left all these extension cords laying around and plugged in then left for the weekend. They leave it in our frontroom! What's wrong with these people? They all clearly saw yesterday that three kids live here, can we like use a little common sense?

When the construction workers left Friday, they did not even put any plastic over the stair case that goes from our front room to the new room. There are still openings up there where animals can get in! Thankfully the hubby had some and he put some plastic over it. Really, how stupid can people be? If no one lived here that would be a different story but people do and I don't want to wake up with a squirrel in my house. Again, common sense!

They did not put insulation in the floor joists. I can see that clearly from the garage. One guy says they did it, which isn't true because the stuff hanging out is the stuff my hubby had up there from years ago. The other guy said they'll do it after the hvac stuff is done. Well that makes no sense either becuase the hvac stuff doesn't go under the floor! In order for them to now do it, they either have to pull up the whole floor up there or the whole ceiling the garage. That is supposed to be insulated as it's in the contract. So I'm watching it and won't give them that last paycheck until I'm sure everything is done, fixed, and cleaned up.

I still got about four maybe five weeks left of this to go. But it should be done before the baby gets here, I hope. They now have to pull some of the ceiling out in my frontroom and replace the drywall as they cracked it. They also had to bust open a wall in my main hallway to get to the pipes for the plumbing. That's more new drywall.

I can not even begin to tell you the mess. If it was confined to the area they work on, that would be one thing, but it seems to be all over my house.

Anyway, I do have some pics and later will take more then shrink them down, put them in a little day by day order, and post them. I was going to do it yesterday but the plumbers were here almost all day, then we had to go to HD to pick up some stuff for the new bathroom. By the end of the day I fell on the bed and crashed within two minutes. I'm beat. Today I get myself a little more organized so I can deal with all of this again during the week. If it piles up too much, I'm afraid I'll stress myself out too much.

I expected problems and such but I don't like the fact that these problems are literally all over my house. Especially with the carpet, garbage cans, and the phone lines being cut. That was all avoidable problems.

Tomorrow they begin the siding for the entire house. I think after that part, that will be the last of the real noisy stuff. The roof was horrible. I thought it was going to cave in, but its all done now.

I hope everyone is having a much quieter weekend than me! :) The weather here is pretty nice so I hope it's nice by everyone else too. Enjoy the day! I shall return soon!

Love, The preggo from ground zero

Well today came and went. Our whole shell is up already and they got the windows in today! They will be busting in from the house tomorrow, as well as doing our roof. We're having one problem with the city wanting a seperate furnace for that room, not sure what the outcome of that is going to be yet. It's a headache saved for the right time.

On a funny note, I've got a real funny story that happened to me yesterday. First of all, I will say the word "Mexicans" only due to the fact you have to get the right picture in your mind. I'm the last person you'll ever find with a grain of racisim, but if I don't explain that the main people in this story are all Mexicans, it's not going t be as funny. So chill if you think otherwise. :)

So last night hubby and my daughter go over to his Mom's for dinner. I started cooking myself some dinner and about an hour later hubby calls. He says he can't find his phone and to look around. So I look around the house and don't find anything. He says to go check outside on the street where he parks his car. Now , the workers had already left about almost two hours ago. As I peek out the window to see if I could see anything in the street, I see a Sanford and Son like truck, with three huge ladders on the back. Out come about 7-8 Mexican gentleman. I see them go toward our addition. I tell hubby I'll go out there but there are people. I have to squeeze past the dumpster to get out of my house. Not an easy thing to do when you have a huge belly LOL.

So the guys go in the yard or on the roof or something. They didn't see me come out the front door. I brought my Nextel out there with me so I could page hubby's phone. It will beep if it's around. I'm walking out there looking at the street, beeping his phone. I'm sure I looked strange. I see nothing so I head toward the yard and keep beeping his phone.

As I get to the back this kid about 16-17 looks at me walking back there, having no clue I live there and looks at me weird. I said "Did you guys see a cell phone laying around?" The kid says "No speaka english". So I say "You see CELLPHONO??" LOL Like that's even a word! LOL

The other guy hears me talking to this kid and says "Do you need a cell phone maam?" I point to mine and say no I'm looking for a cell phone. LOL The rest of the six guys come out from the yard and have a scared look on their face and they are staring at me. The one guy says "You need to call 911 on cell phone you have baby?" LMAO

Basically, these 7 guys thought I was just some lady wandering down the street, going from yard to yard to get help because I'm in labor. ROTFLMAO!! They said they didn't live there they were just measuring the roof!

I was so embarassed! They all piled into this Sanford and Son truck and left. I don't know how they fit in there but there was Mexican music blaring. The scene was hilarious and they must've thought I was insane!!

I think they are coming tomorrow to do our roof. I'm going to hide LOL

Hubbys phone was found across the street by a neighbor. He got it back but it took a tumble and the screen is broke.

So I thought that was hilarious and hope you did too. I hope you can picture it especially the looks on all their faces that was so serious and nervous. "That crazy american lady having baby no help! " LOL I hope I didn't freak them too much and hopefully someone from the company explained I lived here.

So I best get to sleep, they will be in the house at 7am and I have to make sure hubby gets up and out of there and doesn't walk around in the gay robe LOL. I'm going to post some pics tomorrow, I'm a little beat today.

Hope everyone is doing well and having a good evening! Sandy +1

So now people are going to complain about me talking about construction rather than blogging about babies all the time LOL Move on if ya can't handle it, I got a house filled with testosterone and need to vent to some women with brains. :)

Well on a good note, almost the whole frame of the new room is up. They have not yet broken into the house but I suspect that could come at any time now. Then the fun really begins LOL

Well the electrician never came, therefore, my sister had to go yet another day without power. Not to mention , they yet again, did not clean up by her stairs/main walkway, leaving a big mess. I took a pic of it and sent it to one of the owners. All we are asking for is a safe pathway, it doesn't have to be perfect but we have kids, so it has to be safe. She also needs that power back on, this is getting insane now.

I have not seen the foreman today but hoping to. I want to tell him to take some tarps to cover my carpet. The way these guys clean up outside, I would like my carpets covered up. I don't think it's too much to ask. If they don't cover it, I honestly think they will trash it because they will have to walk over it and bring dirty stuff over it each day. So wish me luck on that.

Then ya got the hubby, I don't know where his brain comes from sometimes. The guys get here at 7am and he is sleeping on the couch, in the frontroom, where they will need to walk through. He's basically making them wait to open the garage door. I don't want to let them in because then he'll yell at me. I don't understand why he cant get up 15 minutes earlier and move out of the way. I am getting up an hour and 45 min. earlier each morning so that I'm ready and out of the hubbys way so he can get ready. I don't like it at all, but there's things you have to do. I just don't understand men sometimes and why they are so stubborn and/or rude. (not all men!) They talk about us women all the time, but at least our brains function normally for the most part (well most of us lol).

So they are outside still pounding away. It's looking good from the outside, minus the mess. I'm going to post some pics real soon. I still have a long way to go and I'm most surely positive, quite a few more headaches. I think if it were women working on this project, we'd be just fine. They'd clean up nice, be curtious and polite LOL My daughter says they'd probably spray febreeze at the end of the day to take the smell of wood away LOL

I'm doing my best to make light of the situation. Getting all upset over it is no good for me or the baby. It won't be forever and will be nice when it's done, minus paying an extra payment each month for the next 40 years lol.

Criss was GREAT last night and I SO needed that laugh! I fell asleep right afterwards which is unlike me, but I've been up early. I'm just glad I saw it, it really did cheer me up quite a bit. He's great acting like that and I just adored Andy Kaufman. Kudos to you Criss!

I hope you all have a great day and hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for hanging in there with me through my rants and raves about pregnancy and construction. :)

    Love,Sandy and baby girl
