  • Big news!

    10/16/07 10 Comments

Hello all! Wow, where to start? Well no 3D picture BUT I did get to see HER (yes it is defintely a her!) on the 3D camera. It was pointless to print it out though because she has her fist in front of her face. I did see a big ole chubby cheek and her eye opened too!

Now for the next part............she's in birthing position! She can come anytime from TODAY till three weeks. We are obviously going for the three weeks as that would be best, but she is right there and all ready, so it's up to her. She is at 4 and a half pounds, 16 inches long. By next week she'll be at 5 pounds. Obviously any pounds added now is the best bet. She's still small, but her lungs are good. So I'm just going to need some prayers and/or good thoughts that she hangs in there three weeks. Nov. 1st would be ideal so my other daughter can enjoy her Halloween without having to sit in a L&D room LOL That would work for me too as construction SHOULD be done.

Ahh yes the construction is still going on. I gotta get through that drywall part because I'm not sure how safe it is for baby if she comes home. At this point, worrying won't do anything so I'm just going to take things day by day and do what I gotta do. It's pretty much out of my control at this point.

My husband was in awe because right from the first visit I said this baby would be here in Nov. and not make it until Dec. 6th. If she makes it to Nov. 1st, I will have pinned it! Yay me!

I got another regular ultrasound, confirming it's a girl, and a nice profile shot. I still have to scan it though so I'll post it when I can. Right now Im going to pack up a bag and make lists of all kinds of stuff so at least I'm prepared.

If for some reason I go into labor, watch for a blog by LoyalSammi that's my daughter. I'll have her try to blog after the baby and let y'all know she has arrived. :)

Off to do a few things, I hope everyone is well. Keep me in your prayers please! Three weeks! Three weeks!

Love, Sandy and anxious little baby girl

  • From slow to crazy again

    10/15/07 6 Comments

Hi Everyone! Well the last few days have been real slow. After the last time I blogged, no one has come, until today. I knew the plumbers were coming because they are putting the tub and shower heads in and I guess the insulation guys are coming too. Which is fine BUT just about five minutes ago, the plumber guy informs me he turned off the water. I said oh ok, how long? He says THE WHOLE DAY!!!!!!!!! So I've got laundry going, was about to start the dishes, don't have any water to drink and add into that i have to pee every ten minutes with this baby on my bladder! I swear if it's not one thing it's another! I wish he would have told me before hand, I could've at least gotten a bunch of water and put in the fridge. I guess I'll have to drink warm sprite or something. My sister is working so maybe I'll just use the bathroom down there. Normally that wouldn't be the end of the world but when you gotta kid pushin on your bladder, it becomes a major issue LOL What us women go through! I'll just have to deal with it though, or maybe bring out the shotgun and demand the water be turned on LOL JK!!!

Well, over the weekend the director of operations guy took my sister out on a date! I found out he is the co-owner.....and who is the other owner? That crazy foreman who's been driving me nuts!!! The guy that took my sister out (Fred) he really is a very nice guy though, I've never had any problems with him. In fact, everytime I didn't get anywhere with the foreman, I called or emailed Fred to tell him of my concerns and he's always been helpful. I had told my sister way back when that he was a nice guy. I knew he was divorced with three boys and he's always a real gentleman. He met her and was asking about her a day later. The foreman guy was also pushing him to ask her out. So I guess we did a little match making. However, I was kinda hoping they'd wait until my project was over, kinda awkward ya know? But the date went really well, they really like eachother alot. He took her to Mortons Steakhouse and then to a nearby casino. He really treated her like a gentleman too, which is good seeing she's had a lot of jerks in her life.

Well they hit it off really good and he came by last night to carve pumpkins with her and the kids. He knows my older niece likes popcorn and brought her a few bags of gormet popcorn. I thought that was really sweet. The kids had already met him as he's been here for our project, otherwise I doubt my sister would bring him around the kids just yet. But he's really good with kids, I can see that right off the bat. So far he's treated my sister very good and now my nieces, so he's A OK in my book. I kept joking with him last night and telling him he best get my addition done and keep these guys out of my bathroom LOL He said he is pushing to have it done by the end of next week. There may be some little things after that outside, but the room itself should hopefully be done. I won't get my hopes up on that until I see it, but he really sounded like he was doing everything he can to push it along. Besides, he is one of the owners. That could be really good for me!

Tomorrow is "picture day" for little baby loyal girl! I'm hoping for that 3D picture still! This will be my last chance! At this point, whatever happens happens LOL She'll be here in person soon so I'll deal with whatever happens tomorrow. However, I will eat something with sugar right beforehand so she moves around LOL If I get anything good, I promise to post it!

My feet and legs have been swelling a lot the last week. However, I think at this point it's normal. I'm getting to the final time now so I think I've gotten through the worst part, besides the labor of course! I'll find out more tomorrow.

My daughter got some kind of malware on her computer and I spent the whole weekend trying to get rid of it. It's driving me mad! It won't let me boot up in safe mode so I had to do it all manually. However, I missed something and all it did was reproduce itself. So I gave up last night and will try again today. I told her that if I can't get it, I'm going to have to reformat the whole computer, so she better make some disks of all her pics and such. What a pain! I really hate that stuff!

So that's about all with me. Same crazy life, but at least it's far from boring. Pretty soon I'll have a beautiful little face to look at and all of this will just be a page in the past.

I hope everyone is doing well and hope y'all had a great weekend. I will blog tomorrow and maybe, just maybe have that long awaited picture! :)

Hugs to all, Sandy and baby girl and a bunch of construction workers

This morning the foreman comes by with the dry wall guys, rings bell as I requested. I asked him if heard what happened yesterday, he said no , so I told him the story. He said to let them take the scraps it's not a big deal. I'm thinking well that's pretty much what I planned but the point is they came from my backyard. Then he starts talking to the dry wall guys.

Ten minutes later, I don't hear anything. I look out the window and both the drywallers van is gone and the foremans car. My DOORS ARE WIDE OPEN! Not only the back door but the front door that's by the dumpster. There are squirrels in the dumpster and I could totally see one getting in the house. I figure they are coming back, but I"m not leaving the doors open , so I close them.

20 minutes or so later I see the drywallers come back. I'm waiting for them to open the door and about five minutes later, the door opens real slow and i see eyes and a nose "Ma'am may we come in?" LOL These guys are probably scared of me after hearing the story! LOL They were really nice though and this had nothing to do with them.

An hour later the foreman comes back. I say to him "Louie, if you leave, you need to close the doors, plus the squirrles are right out there". He says to me "Oh no squirrels come in your house, you worry too much!"

I was so mad at that point, so instead of completely showing him my Polish temper, I walked outside down the driveway to take some deep breaths. Serenity now serenity now.

Well whattaya know the foremans brand new mercedes bens is parked in my driveway, next to the dumpster (can you see where I'm going with this yet?). I took a second to think, and why yes, I opened his car door and came back in the house. LOL I didn't say anything to him, just came in like normal. He never said anything about it LOL. I was all ready to say "Well gee Louie, dont' worry the squirrels won't go in your car, you worry too much!" But I didn't get that pleasure.

All day the drywallers were here, very nice guys, closed the doors each time they went out to the truck. Alas, someone with common sense!

Around 2:00 the foreman came back and he cleaned, and cleaned, and cleaned and cleaned. I mean he CLEANED! The entire hallway was swept and vac'd where they did the drywall, they cleaned the garage area where they were working, the entire addition is almost spotless, and all outside was clean. After about two hours , maybe even more, he yelled out that he was leaving. I asked him to please let me know when they will be sanding so I can close off part of the house. HE says "Yes, maam". I about fell over. He then closed all the doors when leaving.

Am I dreaming or something or what? It was like a complete change of personality. I don't know what happened. I actually had nothing to complain about LOL There's got to be a catch. Maybe the inspector wants a clean job site? Maybe that is part of the clean up that's on the contract? Or maybe he saw his car door open and finally realized I was not a happy person. I don't know but that has floored me.

That felt so good to leave that door open like that! funny how the tune changes when the tables are turned.

I'm not getting too happy about anything just yet though. still work to do but at least we made some progress today. I just need this DONE before I really go off on someone LOL

BTW, I wanted to say that when I went outside with the shotgun yesterday, I did not point it at anyone or shoot it. I wouldn't shoot someone over things anyway. I have been trained and I know all the safety rules and precautions. I just don't want anyone thinking I'm some nut case running outside shooting in the air LOL because that's not how excersise my right to own a gun. I did everything correctly and the guys scattered. sure was funny though!

Last night watching the episode with Criss and the kids really made my day. I love that episode so much. I love kids, I love Criss, and seeing how good he is with them just warms my heart. I think that's my favorite episode.

Well it is cold today and all the windows are open to clear out some of this dust. I'm going to lay down for a bit as my sinus's are bugging me. Next week is the ultrasound, let's hope this little mindfreak is cooperative AND I get my 3D picture!! NOt to mention, lets hope she stays put for awhile. These contraction things are freaking me out, she can not come yet. No mindfreaks for mommy. :)

You all have a wonderful night! Sandy and baby girl

  • The drama never ends

    10/9/07 6 Comments

So yesterday, after getting an explanation from someone at the main office as to why our AC wasn't turned on......they said an inspector had to come because of some freon enviromental stuff. Whatever. The day was almost over anyway and the weather was cooler. About an hour later, the foreman calls and ask if the AC is working????????? Apparently when the electricians were here in the morning, they got it up. I doubt they put freon in it and I doubt an inspector was here either. We turned it on, and there it was, on, right when it was cooling off. UGHHHHHHHHHHH

So the foreman tells my husband to get the tub here for today because they are going to put it in. So he gets his pal, heads to his work, and they get the tub to bring it home.

All day I'm sitting here and no one has shown up or called. I was getting tired, so I went in my room, locked the door (because the back door is open for the workers), opened the window and turned off the TV, so I could hear if someone came.

About five minutes later I hear someone in front. I look out the window and there's this fella walking up the driveway that got out of yet another sanford and son type truck. But it had a bunch of old appliances in it.

So I'm watching him and he starts looking in the big dumpster that sits in our driveway. His pal in the truck yells "Anything good?".

I immediately called the company to ask if they sent someone here to pick stuff out of the dumpster. The guy said no they wouldn't do that. So I figure I'd yell out the window and yell.

I look out the window and this big skin head guy comes walking out from my backyard with something in his hand! His buddy is still going through the dumpster. That back door is open and I don't know if they are robbing me or what. So I grab the shotgun, carefully open the front door and yell "GET OFF MY PROPERTY NOW!!!!!"

They see me and RUN!! They got in that truck so fast and took off.

Needless to say i locked the doors and now the company is going to have to call or ring the doorbell.

I'm guessing they were just getting scraps but I didn't like the one guy coming out from the yard. I'll wait until hubby gets home to see if anything is missing.

I think I scared them pretty good, their faces were priceless. I also happened to have my maternity camo pants on. Here is a big fat preggo lady with a huge shotgun, I doubt they thought I'd be flinging oreo's at them.

Well no one came today and its getting toward the end of the day. I take it no one will be coming. Another headache. I need this work done, with all this drama and stress this baby will be here soon.

I'll call the company later and fill them in on the door no longer being opened.

    Oey vei!

    Hope everyone is well!

    Love, Sandy and baby girl

I swear, I about have none left! The electricians came this morning and hooked up the rest of the wiring for the AC BUT we still can't turn it on, because according to the foreman, the inspector has to check it before freon can go in it. The husband didn't even get firm with the guy. Now I look like a dummy for shooting off an email yesterday stating how mad we all were. My sister is mad because it's hot downstairs, which I can't blame her. Hubby doesn't seem to care now because I have the window AC and by tonight, the weather will finally get cold. So I'm like stuck in the middle. I'm OK but I can't blame my sister for being mad, it's not her addition and she has to suffer this hot weather with two kids.

MEN! I sometimes wonder if they (well most of them, not all, especially our bob!) know how to communicate.

I cleaned the house up yesterday and scrubbed down the bathroom. Only to go in there this morning and find ashes on the floor! Hubby said it wasn't his so it must have been the electricians. It basically went in one ear and out the other. Everyone in the house smokes but we don't smoke in the house. I'm sick of these workers walking in with their cigarettes. Yet, I'm not going to complain again because I now think these people think I'm some whiney complainer, since my husband didn't really seem to back me on the whole AC problem.

    UGH!

Now no one is here and we have no clue when the next crew is coming. I'm guessing they will all be here next week when I have to go to the Dr. I'll come home to drywall flying all over the house and God only knows how many of them will use my bathroom. But what can I do?

I honestly believe if they had more (make that at least ONE) female on the job, there would be some more common sense going around. If you do a job at someone's house, and the people are living there, you should have respect for the people's home and the people living there. You don't walk around the house with a cigarette, use the bathroom after you've just been walking in piles of wood and dirt, you don't leave people without an AC during a freak heat wave, you don't just show up you let the people know approx. when someone will be there or if no one is coming at all. Is that really asking too much?

I'm ready to grab the kids and go to a convent. LOL

Well I hope everyone is having a better day than me. Last day of hotness, but not the last day of stress. I keep praying this will be done ASAP because I've had it. I know it will be nice and all of that, but I'm not sure how much more of this I can take. Next time I get construction done, I'm finding an all female company! LOL

Have a nice day everyone, Insane Sandy
